How This System Works

The way that this system works is that it's a very clever form of marketing so it greatly benefits the companies involved. They pay the website that you sign up with for their getting a new customer and then when you get friends to sign up the website get more money thus covering the cost of the free iPhone, free iPod Touch or whatever it is you choose. The reason the company pays the website is that through their website they have recieved a new customer so the company only pays for new customers rather than paying to advertise in print or on TV which does not guarantee any customers.

Here is an example so that you can better understand what it is I'm talking about.

You register with a website and then sign up for a free 14 day trial with lovefilm, this gives the free Apple iPod Touch site £17.50 as they have recieved a new customer.

You then recommend the site to 2 friends who also complete the free 14 day trial with lovefilm.

The free iPod Touch website has now got lovefilm 3 new customers so even if you don't continue on after the trial lovefilm have already paid the free iPod Touch/free iPhone website £17.50 x 3 so the free iPhone/iPod Touch website has been given £52.50

That is enough for the free iPod/Free iPhone website to give you a free iPod Shuffle which sells for just under £50.

So the free iPhone/Free iPod Touch website makes quite a small amount on each free iPod it sends out but if it is doing this hundreds of times a week then they are making a very tidy profit.
